335xi Shock Mounts

Hey guys, I'm doing a long overdue suspension upgrade on my 2008 335xi. After doing research I've decided to go with the Eibach Pro Kit springs and Koni Yellow's.

My buddy recommended that I replace all the top hats for safe measure but I'm confused on which parts to buy. I found these but I'm not sure if that still applies with the I only springs. There're a few more options listed on this page. Are there any other parts I should pick up as well?

I'm going to ask the shop to take a look at all the swing arms and make sure they're good too.

Thanks feuer. What would you recommend for the front?

AWD have taller front strut mounts and I don't have experiences with them, I'm sory. Reach out to XI owners.

There are some good threads on this on the XI section. Eibach Pro Kit springs and Koni Yellow's are a good choice, just note the front will sit about 1/2" higher than the rear. If you replace the top hats, the front will sit about 1" higher for a few months until things settle.

If you want to lower the front to get an even height, then TC Kline custom modifies Koni's.

I've been doing my research and I don't think the rake will bother me much. The winters can suck here in CT so the extra height might help. What I haven't been able to find though are what other parts do people usually replace when upgrading their suspension. My car is WAY overdue sitting at 102k miles with the original suspension.

Would a kit like this be worth the money? Or is it better to buy a few parts selectively?

I don't think that kits is worth the money. Without a doubt you can put together aftermarket kit with better parts for less.
Reach out to matteblue3er , he knows the XI

Do let me know what you end up getting, I'm looking to upgrade my suspension as well and working on the list of parts to buy.

I have brand new Lemforder? top hats and Koni Yellows for XI's... Could save you a few bucks over buying off a website... Front koni yellows only.

Like I said, brand new unused still in original boxes..

See my post above this..

I also have almost that entire kit sitting in the garage, brand new as well.

Basically I have everything you would need for the fronts ONLY. I used the rear parts already.
