Hail Damage. Getting car back today
Back in early August, my car got pretty beat up with hail in Boston (as you can see in the attached photos). I've never seen such huge hail in my life...
5 weeks ago I dropped off my car at a BMW Collision Repair Center. Damage was just about $10K (Amica covered everything with no hassle, great insurance company). A new hood, trunk lid, and almost complete repaint. All BMW original paint, and the paint work was done in a brand new 6 month old state of the art paint booth. Lifetime warranty on the whole repair and paintwork from BMW. Can't wait to pick up the car later today. I'll post back later with pictures of the finished product. Fingers crossed... |

I'm glad that it wasn't totaled. To me there's nothing worse than hail damage that totals a car - it still drives perfectly, everything works great, but it just looks unsightly....and that's enough to deem a car a loss!

Agreed. I've put a lot of money into preventative maintenance and making the car perfect too, so if it had been totaled that would have been really lousy. Walking around Boston now you can still see a ton of cars that look like they were made from hammered metal.
