What old android device to use? MHD

What's up. I am trying to buy an old android device that will work for the MHD flasher.. Cheap with a decent size screen. What are you guys using?

check out a moto G on ebay. the prepaid models are the cheapest, sometimes $50 or less. Just google how to bypass the registration screen if you get one. It has a snapdragon 400 cpu and a 4.5" 720p screen, so it's still a decent device.

Thank you. I assumed 50 would probably be the cheapest thing out there.

Thank you! I ordered that. I tried to use a different device and it tries to charge me again for a new license.. Any way for it to recognize the license I've already purchased? I would hate to waste more money every time I use a new device. Thanks

I had the same issue. I had to delete the AP (MHD), clear Cache, and reboot the cell. Reinstall MHD, and at that point it would recognize the new device and not prompt me to register (pay again). Good luck.

Is that what you're using with MHD? IF so, how's the display look in bright sunlight? Does it get washed out?

I ordered this phone and now that I'm looking into it apparently it is not OTG compatible. What does that even mean? Will this still work with my MHD flasher?

FWIW, I bought a DragonTouch 7" android tablet on Amazon Saturday, and it was at my door today. $50.

I've confirmed it works with MHD, and JB4 mobile. Battery life is pretty good for such a cheap tablet. Will it be blazing fast like a Nexus or something? No, but it does the job better than expected

Nice I'm probably going to return my moto g when it comes if it doesn't work. There's apparently ways to activate OTG compatibility I hope it just works when I get it.. I guess we'll see

my girlfriend's moto g can connect to a usb flash drive using an OTG dongle just fine, so I don't see why it wouldn't work, but it seems like nothing is guaranteed these days.
