So just how does it work?

Hello,

So just how does it work when ordering a new car from Riaz?

You just email him the spec of car you want, he comes back with a deal and it's up to you to decide if its good enough?

Can you send multiple requests, in case I can't deceide between a 330i and a 340i?

Thanks

Put your self in a dealers shoes (soft hand stitched leather).

If you get too much coming through asking for loads, it becomes spam.

So be sensible.

Explain what you want, when, urgency etc.

Do not write war and peace.

Make sure you understand the options you want.

List those along with number of years, deposit etc.

Keep it simple.

I'd say you need to know the model you want which you can test drive where you live before quote request....

Yes asking him to quote for a couple of cars you're trying to decide between is fine, i just did it for my brother in law, but of course don't waste his time qouting for cars that you have no intention to buy.

His spam filter is sometimes a bit overboard, so if he doesn't reply within 1 business day then give him a call at Spire BMW Watford, or ask me or NTG to get him to check his emails/spam.

He is very busy atm with handovers though.

Did you actually get contact with him in the end? I recall he wasnt replying to your emails initially?

With regards the OP, I think I'd actually ring the guy and engage with him that way to show I was serious. You are more likely to get a swift response back I feel with the opportunity of changing specs, engines etc.... while making your decision on the car you want.

Pick a not so local dealer and go through the options, test drives, available deals etc.

This will give you some background to what you want.

Then just order a F31 340i, HUD, adaptive lighting, ACC, heated everything, etc etc and book it in with Lorcan for the rest.

See sort.

Nice one!

Think I'll certainly be asking Riaz for a quote as and when I trade mine in.

We can't wai for you ordering your new car from him

Remember the discount / savings need to be passed to Lorcan.

It's only far to use what you save on ACS kit

Sensible advice.

Keep in mind he is very busy. I don't like nudging him for an update because I feel it could get irritating but he is always willing to help out and has responded in due course.

There is always some back and forth but keep it reasonable. If you know what your must-haves are then spec this out on the model you are interested in (or both models) and then if this falls in your budget then you have some room to add some more options on then go for it. I think this would be the most sensible approach.

Not sure if there is any negotiation at the end because he gave a stonking deal so I felt it would be unfair to try and haggle an already good number. You got to appreciate he needs to have his slice of the pie.

He is recommended by a lot of us for a valid reason.

Dont take the piss with him, we don't want it spoiling for others.

He sends me screen shots, so I know where my car is up to.
