paint work done, orange peel
so the paintwork on my rear qtr and bumper was done - the paint match is 100% spot on.
however i noticed that even though they just used paint on a small area as a result of clearing the whole clear the quarter panel has substantially less orange peel than the rest of the car and the adjacent panel. did they wetsand too much? can body shops even match the factory orange peel? ugh! he told me they would wet sand and buff the whole car but is that going to bring the rest of the orange peel down enough? id rather have 1 panel with texture not matching than 4.. thoughts? experiences? suggestions? man body/paint work is not fun if ur ocd.

Peel can be matched but it's according to the skill of the painter. It is also tough if you don't have a really good booth and everything has to be sanded and buffed. IMO these cars have too much heavy peel but they do have good paint thickness as opposed to all the japanese cars with Nissan being the worst. That being said, let them buff the rest of the car. If done properly it will look way better than factory.
