board computer disappear after each restart
Hey guys. Need some help. My board computer display disappears each time I restart my car. When I press the bc button, it reappears. However, the display doesn't always retain the last setting. Not sure what happened. It use to always retain the last status like miles left, mpg, average speed. Does anyone know how to keep the last metric between engine start ups?

Sound like you battery may be gone.

It would be the first thing to check. When you start the car the battery voltage will drop below the value needed to keep the memory if its really shot. What year is the car about 6 years is the average life of a battery in this car. |

Thanks. The car cranks up with no issues. Do you still think it could be the car battery? I can't imagine the memory of last setting not retaining. Does it take that much juice to retain the setting for the board computer? Not doubting you but wanted to provide some content of how the car starts during crankup
