Best acceleration techniques on an Auto 335i?

Hi all

What's the best way to get the quickest acceleration from an auto 335i sedan?

From complete standstill, as well as from low speed?

When I accelerate hard from standstill, at the very beginning I sometimes feel like it has a flat spot (perhaps the turbo lag, or traction control?).

in sports mode it's better, but will I get a quicker result from shifting manually using the paddles? if so, should I start in 1st gear, or the default 2nd? Or just let it self-change?

And no, I can't change it for a manual (as much as I'd love to!)

thanks

As far as launching...

The slight hesitation you're feeling might be you engaging the kickdown button underneath the accelerator. You'll need a BMS kickdown blocker to prevent the car from downshifting before it accelerates.

Hold DSC button down for 3-4 seconds to disable the traction control.
Move shift lever to the left to engage the sport mode.
Hold the brake pedal down, while giving it a little gas (1,500 rpms or so).

Let off the brake and stomp it all the way to the floor and let the transmission shift on it's own.

Mid to high 13's all day. You win.

.........Oh, and from a roll, then yes, use the manual mode to lock the transmission in whichever
gear puts you in the 4,000 rpm range at the speed you want to start at and stomp it to the floor,
it'll shift at redline on it's own.
