I've been thinking about taking the plunge myself. I'm assuming it's easily learned, I just don't have a PC based laptop. I know some guys have had issues connecting through virtual operating systems. Let me know how it turns out!

If I can code, anybody can. There are detailed instructions with screenshots that teaches you what you need to do. It's like navigating through Windows folders. Easy peasy. Good luck!

That's a confidence booster. Now I just need to get an appropriate Windows port, or just pick up a cheap netbook or something...

Just make sure it has an ethernet port or else you will need to buy an adapter as well to connect the coding cable to the laptop/netbook.

I just did my first coding project this weekend and it went smoothly. I have a Mac laptop and used Windows XP in a VM (with VirtualBox). It was a bit tricky getting the ethernet adapter to show up properly in the VM, but I did eventually get it to work and it was easy after that.

The coding itself was fairly straightforward, but a little scary. I'm glad I did it, and I will do it again, but it did kinda feel like I could really screw something up if I clicked the wrong button. And I'm a software engineer.

Hmmmm. Looks like I will have to take the plunge at some point. Fingers crossed!
