Never seen this happen before, but last night while driving I get a warning that I have an issue with the right tail light. I stopped and looked real quick and sure enough the "bar light" on the tailgate is out.

So after we got to where we were going ( I told my wife what to order for me ) I grabbed my tool box and got out my nice upholstery tool and opened up the tailgate panel. Pulled the bulb out and found that the whole end had melted. I noticed that the tab in the socket looks a bit corroded/discolored.

Think I'm going to open all the lights in the back and take my Dremmel and a wire brush tip and polish all the tabs.

I just replaced two of my tail lamps but they were burnt out as one was black and the other the filament had broken.
