How many pre orders of the new iPhone?
Has anybody pre ordered the new iphone yet? I ordered a 6S 64GB in RoseGold for my wife. I am quite happy with my 6plus so carry on using it.

Ok, I wouldn't call myself a fanboy but I have an iPad Air and in IP6. I too am impressed by the new iPad pro but... Ok it's bigger which is great for use at home but no good for dragging around London with you all day. So, conveniently for Apple the conclusion is that I probably 'need' both!
The things that puts me off is that it will cost the best part of £1k and there will be a better one for the same money in 12 months. As for the phone, I expect it's a little bit better but my 6 has never once left me thinking that I need an upgrade... just using my company 5c during the working day makes me appreciate how much better my own phone is! The 5c is truly shocking! To be honest I think Apple have lost their way and have been a 'me too' company since Jobs passed away - which is a great shame as it was their way of doing everything differently that got me hooked and no that's no longer the case! Having said that I still wouldn't buy anything else though - whilst Apple aren't what they were I'm still convinced longevity and quality of product are up there with the best of the competitors. Wife's due a new phone so maybe we'll have a 6s in the house at some point soon any way

Well i'm still in the dark ages with a 4s which has served me well for a while now but thinking of upgrading. Would you recommend getting a 6 which maybe a bit cheaper now or going for the 6S? |

The 6 is great in many ways but if I'm honest I miss the compact size of my 5s (which is bigger than your 4s!). More screen real estate does make a big difference and my man hands cope better with the keyboard due to the slightly larger surface area.
Performance wise I expect you will notice an immediate improvement - apps are quicker to load and open, graphics are better and it just runs so much more smoothly than my 5c! You do get used to the extra size in your pocket (oo-er) and the performance in your hands makes it worth it in my opinion - just be prepared to feel slightly underwhelmed once you've set up the new phone. If you have used an icloud back up it will essentially just be your phone (as you've had it for a few years) but a bit bigger and slightly more cumbersome to cart around with you!

I think I would benefit from the bigger screen. Left my kindle on the train and it never turned up in lost property. Using the kindle app on the 4s is ok but it does get a bit tiring using the small screen. Also quite attracted by a bigger storage capacity, Apple take the piss in this area but I suppose it's because they can. |

I'm in the 's' cycle - so have ordered a 64GB slate grey 6s to replace my 5s ( my daughter will have that one).
Will skip the 7 for the 7s I guess |

What the brand new everything's different exactly the same as my 6 plus?
I've never seen such a waste of money in all my life. And I buy cars like they go out of fashion. I'll wait for the all new all different iPhone 7...

I'd never change from a 6 to 6s though, not enough of an upgrade to warrant changing it.
