Do I have a E90 or a E91?

I just bought a 2011 328i xDrive Sports wagon. Is it a E90 or E91? Also what engine would that be?
Sorry if this is a dumb question... this is my first BMW.

E90 = Sedan
E91 = Wagon
E92 = Coupe
E93 = Convertible (2-door)

And on 328xi the engine will be either N52 or N51, which is just the SULEV version of the N52. Since you're in Cali I would guess that you've got N51.

Wagon's are E91 and it will have the N52 inline 6.

Enter the last 7 of your VIN on bmwarchive.org and you will see your engine and chassis along with all the options and the production date of your vehicle.

I am extremely surprised that there are Sports Wagons for sale in a state of California

Here in Italy 98% of all vehicles are either hatchbacks or wagons - spent 6 months looking for a good e90

Congratulations OP! I found my 2011 E91 in San Francisco last December, it has always been a CA wagon. Stop by the E91 picture thread and show us what you got!

We have the exact opposite problem here. Most are E90s or E92s, and an E91 is very hard to find, especially a manual, M-Sport, with low miles/kms, which is what I stumbled upon and couldn't pass it up.

I am aware of that dude (I spent 10 years in Chicago) and probably that's why I am kind a fan of E90/E91
