I just ordered paint matched side refletors fo my car, has anyone installed them yourself how hard was it?? is there DYI info on this?

It's actually super difficult given how stiff the tabs are. In theory it's easy but in reality it's a serious bitch.

+1 especially if you have the parking sensors. It was close to impossible and I ended up breaking the tabs on both of mine. Good luck!

It really is. I just couldn't fit my hands in there with any tools but it is possible. On my first M235 I managed to get them out without breaking the tabs but it took a few minutes and a lot of F bombs! On my second I just ripped the suckers out and broke the tabs. 2 minute job. Much easier

Looks like I'm going to have to tint mine as I can't find them for the base 228 bumper design.

If you don't care about breaking the tabs it's not a big deal. The tabs are extremely brittle, so not breaking them is a chore. I'm not worried about changing them back so no big deal.

Fuck the tabs, seriously. It's not worth saving them.

You will probably end up breaking one of the 4 tabs on each reflector which should still hold perfectly fine.
