should fit, but they may not fit as flush because the 2 series is a bit narrower than 3 series, but the M may have wider wheels anyway.
Thread size wouldn't matter because you are re-using your E90/92 wheel bolts. Though it would surprise me that they would be different. |

difference in the width of the cars really has nothing to do with it. the wheels are probably the exact same specs as the msport wheel for a 3 series. 8 in the front 8.5 in the rear. 34-37 offset. they will fit.....

based off that link, looks like the 235i wheels have bigger offsets than our cars so you may need a spacer. Try it out and see how they fit. Spacers are cheap
