p30ff Help!
Hey guys, my car is throwing a p30ff code and is not building boost...
Everything was fine after a long drive but later that night I started it up again and had no power... Currently running Cobb stage 2 with downpipes and chargepipe. While looking around I found the front inlet pipe had come off from the turbo housing... I shoved it back on, and it predictably had no effect on my problem. I started by replacing the vacuum hoses related to the turbos, boost solenoids, and vac canisters with no luck. Then I moved on to replacing both boost solenoids because I noticed the rear wastegate actuator doesn't move when the car starts. No change with the new hardware :/ Video Here v http://s303.photobucket.com/user/ang...u5m5u.mp4.html I am confident there is no boost leak on the charge side but rather a problem on the vacuum side or something related to the wategates. 2nd Gear Data Log Here v http://www.datazap.me/u/realniceguy/...=0&data=3-4-14 Any help is appreciated! |

my rear wastegate doesn't move at all as yours, on idle and pressing the throttle while the car is stationary. I also having problems with boost, while driving and wonder if the wastegate is stuck ori is it just normal to not moving on idle

If you are physically attempting to move the wastegates and they are not moving (ie binding), sounds like you need new turbos. You could always try greasing up the arms first though.

Could also be wastegate control solenoid. Sometimes my wastegates would get stuck open, and it wasn't the actual wastegates. Just the control solenoid.

I can manually move the wastegate with no problems, BUT there is a good amount of play where the c-clip hold the actuator rod to the wastegate arm. If I don't push the arm just right the assemble moves a lil and can bind.
Already tried replacing both solenoids. No luck there Could something as simple as a new c-clip hold the assemble tighter and keep it from binding? Really don't want to replace a turbo |

Hmmmmm well I created a solution. Car is back to normal and running smoothly.
I used my compressor to send around 25 psi into the vacuum lines related to the wastegate system, heard what sounded like a metal on metal bang and now my actuator rod moves freely when I start the car.... No idea what actually happened but thought I would share my experience. |
