Quick question for Gary or other tire guys
I bought non star spec Dunlop zII's in March and my rears are near the wear markers. Would it be okay if I put star specs on the rears and left the fronts alone? Also do you think they would make it through a Houston winter if I drive like grandma when it's cold? It gets to 32 degrees a few times but never colder.

ZII Star specs in the rear with ZII's up front would not be a horrible mix.
Extreme performance summer tires have compounds that will leave you with very little grip at temperatures near and below freezing so drive with extreme caution in these conditions...and of course never in snow or ice with the.
