So I assume 1400mi for first service is still acceptable?

So I was going through my ED plans, at it looks like we will be 10% our first service mileage by the time ED is complete. (2200 km, plus a little extra padding to get to the 1400 mi figure) Doesn't look like I will be anywhere near a dealer towards mid part of the trip, and the tail end is over a weekend where they wouldn't be able to do it anyway.

I assume when they told you guys about breakin service, they said a couple hundred miles over was fine ?

Can't imagine a few hundred miles makes any difference.

There were just two recent threads on this in the ED section...you're fine. They will perform the break in service at the VPC when it gets back to the US. I dropped mine off with 1500 miles, no issues. Others have done closer to 1800 miles.

Sure thing. I hate to see someone wasting a day on their ED trip just to get their oil changed. Enjoy your trip! It'll be the time of your life!
