Wheel fitment question
I'm close to ordering replica M4 rims, but I'm having some trouble of understanding these wheel fitment calculations.
I am currently running 19 x 9.5 ET 45 on 255 width tires on the rears. The two wheel sizes that they have are: 19 x 9.5 ET 40 19 x 10 ET 45 I have ordered 275 width tires. When I put these into the calculator, here is what I got. If I get 19 x 9.5 ET 40, it says the rim will be 5 mm AWAY from the strut and 5 mm more poke than before. Does this mean there will be a total of 10 mm poke than before? If I get the 19 x 10 ET 45, it says the rim will be 6.4 mm closer to the strut and 6.4 mm more poke than before. Can someone please help? I'm just about to place an order and would really appreciate some clarification on this matter. Thanks. |

With 19x9.5 ET40, you're just moving the wheel 5mm out from the strut relative to your ET45's.
With 19x10 ET45, the offset is the same as your current setup, so the wheel will extend equally inside and out...half of the extra half inch (6.4mm) in each direction. |
