MPE Back fires??

I have a 2015 F33 with MPPK and MPE with about 2400 miles on it now. The last couple of days I have noticed when coming up at highway speeds ( 55 mph) to a stop sign and braking hard (throttle closed) to a stop, that I get the normal rumbles as it downshifts, but the last one or two downshifts as I stop, I get a series of actual crackling sounds like a mild series of back fires. I like the rumbles, but not the back fires, doesn't sound right coming from a sophisticated, expensive car.... Anybody else getting this ?? I know some of the rumbles are actually coming from the sound system, but with the top down, I am pretty sure the cracking sound is coming from the actual exhaust itself.

Yeah, I get this and love it. Haha....the MPPK causes the snaps and crackles....and the MPE accentuates it.

Embrace it, or you could always buy a Lexus, if you want more manners in your non-sporty sports car.

I get this too! love it most of the time but sometimes its.. kind of a bit much. Easy solution is to use normal or eco pro… otherwise Ive noticed with mine it happens when i shift down to around 2k rpm it does the backfire so if i want to avoid it i shift down earlier. oddly enough higher revs seems to produce the burble and lower revs the backfire…
just my observations anyways… not sure if im right or not

I got this option (MPE) to get a more aggressive sound and some "burble" on downshifts. I read many descriptions of what to expect, but don't recall ever having anyone mention actual back fires.....not sure I would have got it if I would have known. Just information for anyone out there considering getting this option on what to expect.

I personally enjoy the attention. It definitely backfires while slowing down. Drives the wife crazy.

It is also noticeably more aggressive when driving in manual mode (8AT) and shifting down from ~2k rpm when slowing down. Quite a loud 'crack'.

If it gets tiresome just knock it into comfort, only get minor pops and crackles then :-D

There is definitely something wrong with your MPE, you should trade it in for a MES (MEISTERSCHAFT EXHAUST SYSTEMS) .

The problem is the inside sound (very low, for my car without ASD), not the outside sound that is pretty good with MPPK+MPE.
But I think you aren't used to true sport exhaust sound, that are much louder
