Recommend a 10" Sub...

Okay folks... the JL w3v3 10" is blown... and I sold the W6 enclosure...

I like oodles of mid-bass and sub-bass...

Cut out diameter is 230mm... no more...
Mounting depth is 150mm...

Is there any good "SQ-ish" sub out there fore me? Feel free to shoot some names/models and I can research the mounting depths/cut out diameters.

One thing I will say... no RE Audio subs will fit... that is a shame... checking out the Gladen SQ X line after posting this...

Update. Now looking to build an IB system so any IB sub recommendations welcome. No restrictions on size or depth which is good.

Now switching to IB... and have taken inspiration from your IB thread... going to draw on the knowledge from that... I am hoping to order an IDQ12 or similar... we don't have a great choice of SQ in the UK... we all know the best stuff comes from our friends across the pond... so I need to research what an IB alternative may be... I know I can do better than a JL for SQ/SQL but I don't know what...

You will regret going with a 12", not enough volume and too much distortion. Go with a 15".

My recent experience with Sundown Audio has sold me on their subs. Not sure which would work best for IB but the owner/designer of the subs posts regularly on car audio forums so you could just ask there.

the SA series of the sundown subs work well on low power, and will perform much better than the JL subs, even the W7

what amp are you using?
