Check Engine Light at 3000 miles? Common?

I have a 2015 M4 and my check engine light has come on. I was told there was two codes and this is the second time I have had to bring it back to the dealership for repairs.

Code: 12B304 Lambda probe heating after catalyst activation: Line Break

Code: CD0487 Central Gateway: Synchronization failed.

Anyone have a clue what these codes mean?

Car is currently at the dealership (2nd visit).

Thank you!

Is the car modded at all? Do you have downpipes?

Car is completely stock. The first time I brought it, it read the same exact codes. They replaced one O2 sensor, now the other one is bad.

I had intermittent check engine light that was diagnosed to "lean fuel mixture". The dealer worked with BMW corporate and fixed it with a SW update. No re-occurrence after that.

12B304 - Oxygen sensor after catalytic convertor, activation: line disconnection

cause
Under certain conditions, moisture can enter the internal insulation layers of the oxygen sensor.

If the sensor’s heating activation occurs too early, the internal pressure can damage the sensor elements, leading to the faults being set.

correction
Replace the damaged oxygen sensor as instructed in ISTA. Program the vehicle using the latest version of ISTA/P.

Target integration (new): F020-14-11-501 or higher

Note that ISTA/P will automatically reprogram and code all programmable control modules that do not have the latest software.

Picked up my car yesterday. Two of the four sensors have now been replaced.
