F80 Track wheels and tires 18s vs 19s

I have an M3 coming for daily driver and occasional track DE use.
I want to get a separate set of tires/wheels for track duty.
My gut tells me to grab a set of stock 18s and run R888 or such rubber.

So what's the current track use thinking of tire sizing on these cars with steel rotors?
