I found the BMW branded fluid and it stated a wet boiling temp. of 311 F and dry boiling temp. of 446 F. Anyone please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm quite hard on my brakes (and so are a couple of my favorite tracks) so I didn't even attempt a single session with the stock fluid.

The stock BMW fluid isn't that bad. Could be worse. But switching it out is a cheap upgrade that helps fight fade quite a bit.

Has anyone physically flushed the brake system themselves? What process was used? I tried this past weekend without success. I used a vacuum system starting at the rear wheel, but was unable to pull any fluid through the system.
I've heard rumors about needing a diagnostic tool to actuate certain solenoids to allow fluid flow, but haven't been able to verify.

^^^^
I haven't done a brake bleed yet, I want to go a BMWCCA DIY tech session in Sept and ask the correct method.
Since the m235 has the hill assist you could be right that the car needs special care like the SBC Mercedes system when doing BRAKE PAD replacement.
You should chk if BAVAUTO has any tech info and think about doing PRESSURE BLEEDING as opposed to VACCUM BLEEDING.

No need for any special tools. I did it in my 228i before my first track event.....swapped in RBF660.

FWIW, I don't recommend stock fluid for a track event......autox, ok....track, not ok.

What method did you use?

I spoke with a BMW tech who stated a vacuum bleed wouldn't work unless used in conjunction with a diagnostic tool. The tool walks you through a process and activates the solenoids as needed to ensure all fluid is flushed. This is the route I ended up going.
