F80 @ Thompson Motor Speedway

Never had a clean lap but eeked out a 1:22 in the final session before I ran out of fuel (oops lol). Car ran flawlessly, per usual; and outran everything else there. Still very happy with it as a track car. Also, as you may notice in the picture, I managed to damage my front lip

Cool, I'll be attending a few of these once I am out of the break-in period.

Curious to see what I can run, I was running about a 1:24-1:25 in my S4 (stock everthing+tune) when I could get a clean run and the brakes weren't on fire.

Its a pretty fun track, I really enjoy it.

Considering it is about an hour away from where I live I love it haha. The car certainly has room left in it, I just couldn't get a clean lap. Sub 1:20 should be easy without traffic. I was hitting about 140 (GPS) on the back straight.

That is retarded fast on that track--my S4 was around 125 I think (not GPS verified) but I wasn't able to do that often or I would completely kill the brakes. I would have to coast the last half to let them recover and even then it wasn't quite enough.

I can't wait to get the F80 out there. The S4 just isn't made for that kind of stuff so it'll be really nice to enjoy the track in a car that can put up witht he abuse I want to dish out. I am located in RI so those "track night in america" events are perfect for me--I can leave straight from work and not have to take off an entire day or kill a weekend.

Nice driving, you obviously have some experience.

I think you mentioned you are running a048's in another thread. I am planning on ordering them for track/street use and will be using them on the stock 19" rims as well. What sizes are you running?

I am running 275 in the front and 295 in the rear. Been very happy with them.

Nice driving. I went there last year with SCDA and drove my 335i. Very technical track with a few second gear turns as I recall. It wasn't as fun as LRP or the Glen because you can't really carry too much speed through the corners but I bet you can just launch that thing on corner exit with all of that torque.
