MPE for 340i

Hey Guys, I am ordering 340xi soon.

Question: is the MPE available, as PIA, for the LCI 340i?

Would it be cheaper to buy the part and install it later?

depends if you are buying or leasing... if you are buying the car you can probably get it cheaper online and have a local shop install. If you are leasing then you would only pay a portion of the cost for the exhaust like I did. The MSRP for the exhaust installed at the port was about $1500 but only $500 got wrapped into my lease as the part is residualized.

Nobody knows for sure except for the dealer but it's highly unlikely that there wouldn't be one available. I however would not assume the current version would fit.

Pretty sure once the car is released there will also release an MPE.
I would not buy the MPE now since we do not know for sure if it would fit the new version or not.

It's cheaper after the fact. Since it's a cut and clamp, I'd buy it after at a discount then replace the stock at turn in time and sell the MPE or put it on your next car.

yes, i had the same thought as well. sometimes its hard to negotiate with dealer when you dont know the invoice cost for PIA MPE. i can always sell it later

With LCI, All cars also get new exhausts, with BMW designating engine power by exhaust pipe shape:

340i: individual 80mm pipes on both sides
320i, 320d and up: dual 70mm tailpipes
Entry-level cars: single 75mm tailpipe

The 340 press release said it sounds better (so I assume updated exhaust design) so even if it fit I would wait for a 340 specific MPE

Is there any new news out about the MPE and MPPK for the LCI 340? Sounds like neither will be available for port install out of the gate, but my CA seems to think they'll be able to install at the dealership when the car arrives. I'm curious if either of them will even be available in the September timeframe...
