JB Stage 1 Tune safe for track day?

I'm getting ready to sign up for a track day and am starting to prepare the car for a flogging. Brakes and suspension, check!

How safe is the tuner? Can it handle being beat on for 20-30 minutes at a time or do you guys suggest i run the factory tune as a precaution. The truth is I don't really care for the extra power; its not really enough to make a huge difference and I won't be timing laps.

Thanks!

Nope, thats my lifetime project car. It's only getting better with time

I want to see how this car stacks up against others on the track with my upgrades.

Stage 1 will be fine. It's just a mild bump in boost. If the car gets unhappy it'll just go into limp protection mode.

I've had my '00 S2000 for 11 years now. 28 track days on it.

Did ED on our first ever BMW last year. A '15 435 M-Sport. Just did a cat-less DP and added a JB4. Having some small issues w/ the JB4 and just started troubleshooting it.

Will be tracking both of them next month.

Have fun.

I run the JB on map1 when I hit the track and map2 for day to day driving. Holds up fine on both the N54 335 and the S55 M3.

Yes it is completely safe to use the Jb stage 1 on the track.

I should add that your biggest worry at the track would be to monitor oil temps..
