It can't be $70k as the m3/4 is about c$ 75k base. My guess $61,900. That's $16k over the base m235 which seems like a lot. I hope it comes in below 60k

Yeah, probably around that (61k), plus options to hit 75k....fully optioned M3/4 at my local dealer is north of 90k plus 13% tax

I see a lot of m235 at dealers with options going for near 60k+ this M2 will easily push 70k with options....at its base price it should have nav and comfort access but as usual bmw would have you buy packs to get it. That is if you desire them.

I say it start at $65. Add a type of Premium Pack and Executive Pack and adaptive suspension you are up to $75.

I would be looking to CA, HUD, Adaptive suspension, assuming Nav and leather are standard. Hopefully I'd be at low $70s at that point.

My guess is a base stripper at $59k CDN … but every dealer will bring them in optioned up with all available examples at $70+.

The base M235i started at about $46k but with the limited dealer allocation, and options, you had to shell out around $57k to have any skin in the game!

yeah i am banking on the base being around 59.5K which would put it right in between the m235 and m3

if it is only 10k difference, I will not be getting the m2, and probably go for the m4 route.

60k seems way too much for this car...... Would rather pickup a used fully loaded e92 m3 with low kms at that point.

LOL...$60K?? My brother picked up a sweet 2015 435 sport for $60K in the US on 12/14. Purchasing an M2 for $60k would make for a hard sale.

so basically 7-9K cheaper than an M3, i dont mind if thats the case as that would mean the M2 would come with more bells and whistles i dont think so though imo

I think you and I are on the same page, I can't help but think they have to price it up against a 435 Mpack and thats 62-63k

True, but Canada on average has lower salaries and higher sale tax. This car is quite expensive when you compare to how much easily it would be to get it in the US (if you work there of course)

When you compare to the M3/M4 with base cost of $74/$75k and a well optioned version of each of these pressing on $100k out the door including taxes, the M2 should be fully optioned at around $75k

This would be a great car for the price, the closest competitor would be a base Boxster/Cayman for a similar price

ALSO, this thread is regarding CANADIAN cars and pricing, please do not compare to USA.
