I don't know much when it comes to photography but I use a Sony NEX-5.
Here are a few shots I have taken with it which you may have already seen:

I'm pretty new to the group (joined a while a go but never get time to come on) but this thread caught my eye, I have a Nikon D700 (I do quite a bit of night club photography so need a full frame sensor as they're much better in low light) Just got a new 2009 320D M Sport on Friday so thought I'd grab a shot and share it in on here, car is pretty much standard at the moment but am planning on tints, Eibach Pro Springs and maybe a cheeky little remap Camera basics ..... Nikon D700, Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 Lens, basic editing in Lightroom 5

Nikon D500 - entry level but really does the job for me. Its not DX range but practice on these and move up when you're ready and confident.

I use a Canon 500D, which I bought 2nd hand in 2010. It's entry level, but the biggest step for me was replacing the kit lens 18months later with a decent one.
I think I paid £450 for the camera with kit lens, then £550 for a better lens (2nd hand too). I've been wanting to change my camera for a couple of years, but probably won't go full frame. Something like a 7D suits me. Last edited by C.J; 06-20-2015 at 05:09 PM.. |

Canon 70D. No photos to speak of but saved enough by buying in the US to pay for the flight :-) Comes with the excellent 18-135mm STM lens, which has the best AF I've ever seen!

It's not the camera, it's how you use it.

So true ! My wife is a professional photographer and has been for 14 years ... we have got through all the Canon pro kit but recently sold our Canon 5D Mk3's all the pro L lenses and stuff ... and bought Panasonic micro four thirds kit. It weighs a fraction of the Canon stuff and in her hands is producing images just as good.
She teaches photography using mobile phones and has an album with stuff just taken on her phone - it is better than anything I could do with any pro kit ! |
