JB4 "Bible"

Hi

I compiled this small "bible" for my own personal use. Hope someone else can enjoy it. Use it at your own risk!
Most is copy/paste from N54tech but if you find any wrong info I would appreciate to know - thanks.

Damn good write up...it answered quite a few questions that left me scratching my head as to what the acronyms meant and measured.

Do you have a good custom tune for Map 6 for a PWG 335i with DP, Exhaust, and CP that can run FF? just curious

Hi Joe

I am having quite some difficulty getting my own car running so I might not be the best to ask for advise. Right now I am dealing with throttle closures resulting in DME BT getting dropped which in turn affects trims and AFR. Seems there is no imidiate solution.

I was actually thinking of opening a thread speciafically for F-series PWG ISO users on N54tech. We are not so that many users and quite a few of us have problems with the JB4. Maybe we could put a bit of pressure on BMS this way

When you say PWG ISO what does that mean. I know the PWG obviously but the ISO has me scratching my head.

The ISO stands for "isolated". The normal FW shares boost control with the car but the ISO modification (check N54tech) + FW will give the JB4 sole control.

This has been proven to work better for cars with turbo upgrades (dont know why). I take it that it is similar to the KB4 G5 ISO for the N54 and acts more like a manual boost controller then a tuner in that nature? This is very cool and I can see how this can be very picky to get tuned correctly

Can someone fill me in on the JB4 "learning runs"

I see them referenced a bunch of times over at BMS's forum but can't find any info on what exactly the "learning runs" are.
