Opinions on muffler delete

hey guys I just want to here your guys opinions on deleting the muffler on the f30 335i

are there any down sides

I've read that there is a lot of torque loss is it worth doing it would I get a louder blurb through gears

I did a resonator delete and I need it louder I was thinking of getting a DP with resonator delete and stock exhaust but will it even be a difference

if you guys can help me out with this that would be great

I think it's a good idea - if you want your car to sound like a $3000 POS craigslist special.

I agree. just did mine and it does sound good. slight drone at about 3k but nothing major. I saw no decrease in torque and slightly more pull mid to high rpm range.

Different car but I did have the muffler delete on my E39 M5 and lets just say that the radio was never on again. Felt no power loss and even saved about 80 lbs since it had 4 cans.

I was taking a look at the gthause exhaust and it is basically a straight pipe all the way so I was thinking to my self that's a expensive exhaust and it looks like it is straight pipe

nothing special about it so I mean why not just muffler delete

Does anyone have a video of a muffler delete

Outside view launch or take off or pass by that's is driven on sport mode I would love to here how it sounds

Most people have videos but for some reason I don't hear the blurb between changing gears maybe because there in comfort mode

It's really not bad for a DD. It's a car I drive everyday, and pass by a police station at least twice daily, really isn't loud when you're just cruising around, livens up when you're at WOT though.

Sounds nice I think it sounds like a gthause exhaust lol I mean idk if you guys saw the pic of the gthause exhaust I mean is basically just straight pipe through from what it looks like

Is your exhaust modded or a complete delete

Quick question how's the pops between gear when you change gears

The blurb is it loud

that's what I love about the f30 335i that it blurbs while you switch gears and that's why I want to do a muffler delete to get that louder

It's your car and do what you want with it. Part of the reason I bought a BMW was for the comfort. This includes a quiet ride. If all I wanted was performance I could have gotten a rice box with the same power for less money. I don't even like tire noise. I'm older and lazier than most of you. My hearing is going, too. It seems they were demonstrating a Maserati or some such car on Top Gear that had an artificial exhaust piped into the sound system. I just don't care to hear more noise than I have to.

Muffler delete will annoy you. Just spend money to get a real exhaust that has real muffler. It will be quieter then muffler delete. My friend who rode in the car also complained bout muffler delete.

I went to a coding meet where their was a bunch of people with the Mperformance exhaust and they were in awe when they heard my car.. Someone said that its sound louder than their own Mperformance exhaust... It's honestly one of the cheapest miss you can do to your car and it is well worth it
