Crap dude!!! I hope you're okay!
To answer your question... I think the M2 will something very special, but it will not be your e92 M3. I personally say m2, but if you think you desperately need that v8 character, I'd go with m3. But the M2 will be a 'better' car. |

Crazy! Glad you're okay.
How fast were you going? Oh and yeah, if I were you, I'd wait for the M2.

I'm first on the list at my dealership for the m2. I am concerned with how many the will produce. there is no doubt it will be a great car. not sure if it would be better to wait. I also have a e46 330ci so I do prefer that size of car.

Ouch. Glad to hear you walked away.
Get something used to tide you over and wait for the dust to settle. Maybe try out a used P car for a while - they don't depreciate as bad as some of the others. |

Buy a 1M to tide you over and the M2 might not even matter 😃

Damn Jackalopes, that was a nice M3. Try to wait for the M2 although it may be difficult finding a first year model to test drive. Never mind, just get another e92 now and check out the M2 down the road.

I was in a similar boat cept I didn't crash anything.
I was choosing between E92 M3, E46 M3, 1M, and waiting for the M2. I went with the 1M. I drove all (cept only the M235i since the M2 wasn't out) a lot... V8 is amazing for sure, but the 1M felt better to me (E92 kind of felt a little too large). I think the M2 will be faster than the 1M, but it looks like it won't be that light and the 1M is just special to me....plus you can mod the 1m (If you want) and get some nice power gains - or keep it stock and it should holds its value.

Damn...crazy crash - glad you're ok.
I think you should wait - there are plenty of E92 M3s for sale, so you can always pick one up later...good problem to have.

I've drove the 1m and liked it. I agree on it keeping its value but I think when the m2 comes out it will drive the price down for a little bit. To the other point about a lot of e92s being available that's true, but its hard to find a clean one with low miles that hasn't been tarred apart.
