Bluetooth Mute

I often have to take part in conference calls from my car.

Is there a way to mute my car microphone from the dash / steering wheel ?

Thanks - David.

Yes.

On the iDrive screen there is an icon for mute once the call is connected I'm pretty sure.
Don't think you can access it off the steering wheel though, would need to use the iDrive control wheel.

Yes the microphone icon I believe is used to mute it.

Sorry it's raining or would pop out to my car and check.

It's in the manual as well under communications.

What you could do is use allocate one of the 8 shortcut buttons to the mute function, number 8 being the closest would be handy for you I think

There is a mute button on the phone idrive screen. You operate with the idrive knob. I just dial in with the handset, navigate to the mute and press it on and off as needed!
