European 1addicts Dolomites trip (July 17-19, 2015)

This post as a heads up to all those interested to drive the awesome Dolomites (Northern Italian Alps) next month.

Several forum fellows will get together (again) on Friday July 17 at "Sella Ronda".

Saturday July 18 we'll enjoy a grand scenic tour with lots of twisties amid a mighty scenic backdrop: the unique Dolomites mountain range (UNESCO World Heritage).

Sunday July 19 we all will head home again.

Oh my. I experienced some of this years ago during a post-college trip to Europe. While I have been to Europe multiple times since, I have not had the opportunity to revisit the Dolomites. Thanks for rekindling the memories...so beautiful there.

Have fun!

And you can drink some fancy Pellegrino for cheap....

I wanted to swing through this route on my grive between grossglockner and stelvio, but it was ultimately too far a way.

Take lots of pics!

Lovely area. I ski there every year and drove down with the E39 M5 for eight years in a row.

Can you plan next year early on so that I can try to time my ED and join you?
I can't imagine anything better than driving a new ///M in a mountanous setting, in the company of other BMWs.

This place is unique in the world. Mesmerizing and humbling. Driving there amid those tall towers and green meadows is the kind of stuff that will make you also smile when you're an old man and grandchildren ask "grandpa" about exciting stuff done in the past. "You know, long time ago I've been there with other ambassadors of fun, and boy, did we have a *blast* !"

My car might be stationed in Northern Italy in the week of July 6 to drive the Dolomites again.

And remember Top Gear: according to them, the stretch from Davos (Switzerland) to the Stelvio Pass (Northern Italy) is nothing less than driving heaven.

I still haven't gone to Stelvio. It may end up being part of my ED one day. I did however drive the Mustang GT Track Pack RECARO autobahn cruiser to the from Germany to the Amalfi Coast.

Austria on the way down.
