Failed Sensor

Checking under my bonnet at the weekend and noticed this
The resin holding the sensor plug to the brass sensor housing has failed so it is just the thin electrical contacts holding the two parts together
Anyone had this or heard of anyone else having this problem
Car is just under 6 months old (where has the time gone) and done about 6k miles
The housing gets extremely hot, as it apparently contains the oil filter hope its not a design fault

I won't be seeing my car until Thursday as I am out of country just now. But after your post I will certainly be checking mine out.

Cheers,

That looks to be the oil pressure sensor.
Ive seen worst on honda b series, you should be fine to drive to dealer to get it fixed, but i would not continue driving it around a lot

Sorry here is one a bit further away
Have been to the dealers and it is going in to be replaced on Tuesday They have said their not aware of it being a regular problem but they would probably say that even if they were replacing them weekly
