what is a definition of good xpel install?

if you see asphalt tar or dust under the film, are we supposed to ask them to do the job again or just live with it. I don't want to be picky..

who did the install?

tar? should be removed. it can etch your paint. the whole thing doesn't have to be redone, depending on section.

dust or contaminants? in the interim time after the car has been washed and clayed, until XPEL is ready to be laid, it's probably impossible to achieve a dust free surface (unless you are in a sealed/filtered clean room). So i live with it.

Raja, did mine, had a couple spots that i noticed under close inspection after i got home. he does touch ups free while the film is under warranty. i will probably hit him up in an year or so, after i accumulate some additional blemishes.

I recommend you allow the installer to examine it & I assume he will likely repair it. Raja, did mine as well -- his work was exceptional; he does offer touch ups if a blemish develops just as chillindrdude states.
