Valve tap, fuel injector noise? What is it?

Hi all, am experiencing a rhythmic ticking sound at moderate to low engine speeds. Disclosure, I do have the active sound coded off. But, I don't recall hearing this sound before and have just become aware of it recently. I'm not sure if it's the lifters, valves or the fuel injectors squirting. But it sounds like a bicycle with something contacting the spokes as the wheel goes around. Not very loud at all and, under full throttle it can't be heard. It seems to be more audible when the engine is hot. Is this normal for this engine?

Maybe valvetronics sound? With AS coded off you may hear it more. A soft ticking is normal in BMW cars with valvetronics.
