Excellent. Weather forecast is looking nice. I'll be in an Alpine White M3. I'm in the D-Novice group. Last time I did one of these was about 8 years ago in a 330i.

Stock exhaust, but I ran an external mic to the trunk lid so you didn't have to hear my commentary while driving

That explains it. I be all like.. How is it so loud when he gets on the throttle?

It's hard to figure out where to put the camera to be able to see the road, huh?

Thanks for sharing the videos.

Thanks for posting this! I was hoping that you had some footage from the last session that would have LeRoy and I in it. It's also funny how many times I saw the mic that you had running out of the trunk before I figured out what it was. :O

Was your Porsche the white one? Enjoyed watching you guys in the A group haul ass around the track. That gray Z06 was really moving too.

Looks like I may be able to make the July 17 BMWCCA session.

Hey Greg, what telemetry were you using at this session? GPS in phone, additional GPS, OBDII readers, etc.? I did a GoPro vid of my sessions on 6/26 but definitely see the need to gather more info to complete the picture.

Good driving! The only bit of advice I can give to you and everyone one else that drives Pacific. Do not, let me say that again, do not lift off the throttle at corner 1/the kink. If speeds are a little high for your comfort coast before the corner and then apply some maintenance throttle through the corner. You want some weight on the back wheels to prevent a spin. You can see there is a little bump right at the apex. Many a car has met there end right at this location (primarily in the wet).

Hey ZPinhead - Sorry for the delay, was out camping with the family for a couple weeks. Just did the July 17th HPDE yesterday I was using a Garmin VIRB Elite along with the Virb Edit software. Apparently the camera records a metadata file with the telemetry sync'd to the video. Camera has GPS built in.

Thanks for the advise PrimeBMW. My instructor yesterday had the same bit of guidance. 145 felt like coming in a little too hot so I did the coast along the wall then back on maintenance throttle for the right turn.

Where did you go camping? I need to take my boys and dogs away from here.

Well, it was a bit of a trek. Have a 6.5yr boy, 6yr girl and 8mo girl and we borrowed my parents motorhome, did a week in Lakeside, OR (Near North Bend on the southern Oregon coast) and then a week at Nehalem Bay State Park on the northern Oregon coast.

When it's 90 degrees inland, highly recommend both locations. It was 75 and sunny pretty much the entire time. Both places were dog friendly as well.

Cheers mate for the tip. I'll be taking Peter, and stuffing it with kids and dogs but what wouldn't one do for cooler air.

You bet. If you want a shorter drive, our other fun spot is the Quinault Bay beach and marina just south of Ocean Shores, WA. Feel free to IM me if you want pictures of either place.

Dude the temperatures mentioned sold this one my sons are good with long drives, it's a great time to ask me just about everything they can think of.

The place you mentioned first is only two dinosaur conversations and one Ariel atom away!

My boys are three and five, so anything is still cool, even if mom is with them.
