New to the board
New board member here. Just got rid of my M5 and picked up the M3. Really enjoying it so far and look forward to contributing to the forum.

Welcome omboard Tbrown!
Tell us all about the magic M5/S85! And after you've run the M3 for a while what you think about your new motor. Cheers |

Smaller and lighter makes the e92 more fun to drive. It is quite a bit noisier inside than the e60, but that's not a really a bad thing. The leather isn't as nice, but the interior is basically just a smaller version of the e60. No vanos pump is a definite plus. Overall, the M3 just feels a lot more modern. DCT is much easier to drive smoothly than SMG. |

Yea, the M3 handles much better than the M5, although above 5k rpms the M3 feels like the M5 in P400. It won't be the same highway missile the M5 was, but I value canyon carving and driving on road courses more.

I plan on getting a E60 someday (not as a daily driver) just to have one. I love that engine.
the M3`s engine is similar to M5 in some sense, and its more reliable. So its a good pick. |
