Leaking Diff fluid after 1200 mile service

After 1200 mile service i was excited to finally open up the car and get some good runs. After few fun days, i walk into a garage and see a small puddle of oil under the rear axle!!! i don't recall hitting anything and didn't run the car that hard. on top of that i had a road trip planned for the weekend.

to take a step back i did 1200 mile service at Life Quality BMW in Brooklyn, i waited for the car while its done (~2 hours). no issues were mentioned so done and great.

Leak noticed last thursday evening. So i call BMW of bloomfield, which is one of my favorite dealers and it was on the way of my road trip to drop of the car and get a loaner. back and forth they agree to give me a car replacement. I get there 8 am sharp and first car there, they get it on the lift and guess what, nut and seal that plug the differential box are loose, as i understood there are two plugs and two seals. on top of the differential tank was overfilled. they replaced the fluid, plugs and seals in the next 10 minutes and i was done.
nothing was damaged due to overfilling since i brought the car in right away. i spoke to CA who happened to be an enthusiast who was enraged at how an M car was treated, he was going to file a complaint at BMW NA on Life Quality BMW poor work quality.

To sum up:

1. Never get any work done at Life Quality BMW Service
2. Always double check what you can and look on the spot where your car is parked for any possible leaks.

This situation could have been real ugly if the fluid would leak out at high speed or track.

Same thing happened to me 4 years ago with my Acura TL. They didn't put gasket back when they changed the oil at first service.

Human error happens.
