How to keep low miles on your E46 M3
Get a M235i!
My daily driver since October, 2015 M235i 6 speed, white with red interior. I cannot get over how much pleasure I get from driving this car! My E46 M3 vert is a summer only car with 26,000 miles (2005) and up to now have only driven it twice this year. Still love it, but the 2 has so much going for it. Ease of driving and very fast. Have only seen 1 other since October. It's almost as if we re driving BMW's hidden secret weapon. I have not had such fun since my company E30 M3 in Munich (1988). Anyway, just wanted to share. Difficult to say. The E46 is the typical hardcore "M". My previous E46 M3 was a coupe and my present M vert and both are stiffly sprung, with more driver involvement to drive fast. The M235i is easy to drive fast.
As an everyday car, the M235i. As a special weekend drive, the M3. The M235i/228 is what BMW has always been about. I am still very interested in the M2 coming out but if it is closer to the M3, I will not get it as a daily driver as the M235i is really the perfect package! |
