Moon roof / rain sense

Does anyone know if the moon roof can be left in the vent position and close when the rain sensor detects what it was made to detect? Maybe a coding job?

It was a thing on my 2012 Passat. It had the sensor but it was disabled on my trim level ( gotta love marketing ). It could be coded to function though.

My friend told me (couldn't verify if true) that a mid 2000's 5-series V-8 in Maryland that every time it rained the sunroof would open - and at that time back in mid 2000 they hadn't been able to fix it.

Pikachu would be the one to ask for coding, but I thought I saw somewhere that there was a way to do this

Rain close HU_NBT 3000 REGEN_SCHLIESSEN aktiv Automatically close windows and sunroof when rain detected

I was possible on the E46 but stopped working onward....

I had that before! It's evil!

But, I found the culprit!

It's kids.

Parents give keys to kids to pacify them. One rainy night, kids played with Keys.

All windows opened and sunroof.

What s mess in a two day old car!

Just hold down your lock button!

Back eons ago, when I was in the child-raising phase of my life, we had a toy key ring set that kids played with for entertainment.

Maybe those things don't exist anymore because someone found out a way the toy keys could be a hazard to young kids.

I enjoyed my kids when they were small, but like my wife says often... "Been there, done that"...

I think I'd cry if that happened to my 2-day old new car...
