Where is the OBD2 port on 2015 228i please?

I looked for it in the driver's foot well but could not find it. Is it on the "roof" of the foot well, as it were, near the hood release? Not sure why I could not see it; is it behind a peel-away cover or plastic panel? Many thanks for your help.

On the 235 it is right at the side of the footwell just where you described. No cover.
