Took my car for a Servive on Thurs, all went well other than I went to open the bonnet this morning and the lever under the dash seems to just be flappy free with no resistence, assuming the cable has been servered somewhere so will have contacted the garage to have them fix it (for free I would expect)

but in the the meantime is there another way to pop the bonnet catch?

Make sure the bonnet isn't loose already! It could be dangerous! Would like to know how the bonnet could be lifted if the cable has severed.Through the grilles maybe?.

Make sure the screw hasn't come out on the release lever as well or it wont pull the mechanism.
