coding question

Is the automatic engine start/stop function able to be turned off without coding? i.e. by removing a fuse or something. I find that to be quite annoying.

Also, anyone in South Florida do coding for a reasonable price?

2015 m3, 6-speed if that makes a difference.

thanks,

jb

Yes, when the orange light is on the engine will remain running...it remembers the last setting.

i actually just tried driving around with it today for the first time - its pretty weird but i was impressed by how fast the car starts up.... if youre in neutral at a red light the engine will turn off, as soon as the clutch goes in it starts and by the time im in first the car is ready to go - im pretty impressed with how seamless it is....

that said, isnt repeatedly starting the car like that more wear? and does it really save that much fuel?

ive been trying to break in my car very gently..... but its incredibly difficult - although i havent revved it past 5500, i have been getting on the gas a little bit coz i mean, it just sounds so damn good, especially with the valve mod....

my first fill up i only got like 16mpg, and the on board computer says im running about the same right now - its been mostly around town miles and not much highway but can i expect this number to go up (not trying to hijack the thread i realized i started rambling a bit here)

i keep telling myself im gonna drive more sensibly but the car makes it very difficult because it wants to run....
