Question about different OEM oil filter for F8x.

I just had my 2nd oil change done at the dealership and I got a different oil filter with different part# than first oil change at 1,200mile service.

In my 1,200mile service, the Oil-Filter had part# 11-42-7-566-327 (http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-41...n54n55s55.aspx)

In my 2nd oil change at 10,500mile service, the Oil-Filter had part# 11-42-7-854-445 (http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-20...-bmw-part.aspx)

When I looked up the parts# online, both of them support F8x but oil filter with part# 11-42-7-854-445 is more expensive and made specific for F8x, maybe with additional cosmetic M logo. Since it’s part of free maintenance I will probably request this oil filter from now on.

My question is if you had to do an additional oil changes between the free maintenance, would you use cheaper one at $10.95 that’s probably good enough for the car or pay $17.95 for additional peace of mind?

In the time it took to pull up the links for this post you could have made $8.
