Chassis warning?
On my way home the other day, my car randomly gave me a chassis warning saying to drive slow and call bmw. When I got home I turned the car off and back on, and the warning went away. I called BMW and they said it's probably just a bug. Has anyone else had this problem? I wanna know that it's a bug and not something serious.

No experience with that, but it doesn't look good
Even if it's a bug, I would make the dealership take a look at it, so there is some record that you did your due diligence to bring it in, should something go wrong in the future related to that message. Hope it is confirmed as just a bug |

The message seems incredibly vague, at least for the driver.

Had a similar warning yesterday during a 100 mile commute to LA. Stopped for a coffee and debated going to a dealership. When I restarted the warning disappeared and has not reoccured since. I'm assuming it was a computer gremlin unless occurs again. I noticed no difference in performance and handling in all 3 modes. I believe the cars hard drive retains all warnings in it's memory till tech clears them.

I mis-shifted once and got this. Turned off and turned back on, and it never came back. I even scanned the car (I have a tool) and no codes. Dealer looked and no codes either. Weird.

^^ this is exactly how mine is continuing to be, I just did about a 200 mile Trip and every time I restart my car it goes away, but comes back after like 20 minutes of driving. I've felt no difference so far, also being in all three modes. It does seem to be some bug, or a bad sensor of some sort.

I've had this happen in my 2011 338xi and its was a bad terminal post for my battery. Sounds like could be battery related. Again take it to your service advisor for sure.

So this kept happening to me, so I took the car in to the dealership. It was a faulty sensor, they ordered the part, and it came in a couple days. Got it fixed in an hour and was on my way

Had it happen once after I had disconnected the battery. Made it about 200 feet down the street before it popped up. I dismissed it and no issues or recurrence 400 miles or so later now.
