435GC Delivery / Detailng
I took delivery of my Carbon Black 435GC Friday 4/17/2015. So far I am loving it although driving has been limited due to extensive first detail. I had the dealership just hand wash it before delivery. Here's what I done so far.
Hand Wash - Meguiar's Gold Class shampoo Clay bar - Poor Boy's Clay Bar Polish / Cleaner - Pinnacle Black Label Surface Cleansing Polish (Removes Oils, Prep pant for coating) Ceramic Coat - Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Paint Coating Wheel Coating - Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Wheel Coating Glass Coating - Pinnacle Black Label Diamond Glass Coating Wax Top Coat - BLACKFIRE BlackICE Hybrid Montan Sealant Wax Unfortunately it started to rain today so I have been unable to get any pictures after it was finished. I am having a Xpel Clear Bra installed on the front bumper next week. |

For a good shampoo/paint prep, I use Chemical Guys Citrus Wash/Gloss. Really clears the crap away, even old wax. Suds extremely, and after 2 passes, you're about ready for polish. I use Adams Car Shampoo for my normal washes and just used Maguire's Ultimate Polish, then Wolfgang's paint sealant 3.0. Use CG V7 detailer after each wash too for good measure.

A good two citrus baths, then two more washed with a good shampoo in then pull into garage will usually take care of most concerns on a new car or not. If needed, a good auto all-purpose cleaner can be mixed in with the wash; just a little though.

Love coral black! Living in Seattle
Though makes that an impossible color to keep clean. If I lived in CA, I'd have gotten it in a heartbeat. So instead I got mineral grey. |

Both of you should check out autogeek.net for some good detailing products.
Wash x4, polish, then apply wax/paint sealant to your cars. The desert sun won't bake it, and the rain will slide right off for at least 2-3 rainy days. To not detail your car and paint correct once every 6 months will leave your car looking like crap. |

I use Chemical Guys V7. You don't need to spray much. If you've got a spray bottle, get the gallon for about $35 or so. Should last you over a year.
