Anyone hearing clicking or any other noise from the front suspension?

My car has been in and out of the dealership since 3/16 for a clicking/thumping sound coming from the front suspension. Most noticeable when making turns and the more speed the worse it seems to get. I took the car to an indy shop that was able to find two cracked suspension components in about 45 minutes (so not so obvious). I decided to take the car to BMW as this sort of thing should be covered under warranty. Well the car has been there for two weeks without being diagnosed. So I call my SA today and he tells me that other M235s have been having this problem and that it may just be normal. I told him that the sound I'm hearing is absolutely not normal on a sports oriented car.
Given the extensive number of owners here and the fact that many of us safely test our cars limits it seems our cars would most likely experience these problems if they are normal. So, I think this could be an effective poll . If you have had problems or concerns click YES and feel free to give explanations and mileage at which problems occurred. Otherwise please help me out and just click NO and you can move on. My car has 12k miles on it. I would also like to hear from those with 228s w/ THP ONLY.

I had that clicking sound especially when turning on my M235. Magically went away on its own after a track weekend.
Keeping my ears open for it though. It used to do it all the time without fail, now it's completely gone. Try taking off your wheels and cleaning them thoroughly, apply grease to the hubs before re- installing them.

The only clunk/thud that I really ever hear is if I'm backing up out of my driveway or something and have the wheel turned near full lock and I hit a bump (the curb in my case at the bottom of the driveway). It doesn't happen that often, never heard it outside of that type of situation. I believe others said they heard the same thing but I don't think its really anything to worry about.

Only noise -only cold temps - backing out of parking space - with steering wheel cranked almost full lock - get a single pop/thump sound - random - like a friction build-up then release.
Other then the single circumstances described above no noise while driving or turning or over road imperfections.

Same exact noise I've had, and yes it tends to be more when its cold out.

I can't pinpoint it to suspension, but I do sometimes get a creak(s) coming from the rear of my car when going over bumps.

.
My noise is similar to the above description, except today it was over 60 degress and I heard it.

This is exactly what I'm experiencing. My noise gets worse at speeds and is much louder and more intense when making turns. Interesting that it just went away one day. I don't know if we had/have the same issue, but the noise is not exactly confidence inspiring especially when it comes to tracking the car.
I just can't accept this as "normal".

Thanks for the responses guys, keep em coming. I'm surprised to hear that others have had problems, mine does not seem to be fixing itself though it has been consistent for a month now.

Could this be related to the clicking noises many 135i's have exhibited (mine included, to this day, particularly during aggressive cornering)?

If so:

It's the brake backing plates, the bolts need to be retorqued. I've had good luck just rechecking the torque on the lug bolts too.

This seems like a very similar problem. Apparently the wheel bearing cap was not properly in place, which was causing the noise. I don't know if that makes sense or if its dealership BS, but hopefully the noise will not return.

So you would feel comfortable tracking your car with noises like this coming from the front brake/suspension area? The noise just doesn't inspire confidence in me, but if this really is normal then fine.

I don't hear a noise, but the mobile app registered an errant touch as a yes vote. I don't know how to undo my vote and select no.

If this poll is anything close to an accurate sample, which it probably is not, 18-5 is not a good look for BMW. I encourage many of those who have viewed this thread just to click NO and move on so we can possibly get a more realistic idea. Otherwise more than 1 in 5 of the M235s are having some sort of issue up front, however minor. The car has not been out that long and does not sell in mass.
