Am I the only one excited about this.
So after some googleing its a new m performance accessory, it attaches to the on-board diagnostic port (OBD I learnt something) and sends the info through blue tooth to your phone via the app. This is for all BMW models after 2012. Not sure if that's inclusive I rang my dealer (here in Australia) and they have not heard of it as yet. Is this available in the US or Euro markets |

It is in the app store in the US. d/l it now.
This kinda makes the ///M Laptimer app obsolete. I'll wait for the group buy on the OBD port accessory. Last edited by G30 B58; 04-10-2015 at 06:01 AM.. |

Definitely is. There are a couple of articles out there that Google mentions this is part of the next range of bmw m performance accessories coming out, this was in December though. From the google pics that app seems to be the one that goes with the OBD stick. I guess it's bmw approved app, might just be made by someone else.

Seems like standard obd2 device to me.
You can find it on the internet for 15$~20$ which is working over bluetooth. Mine is ELM 327 Mini. I'm using Torque Pro app with android phone. I bought adapter 2 years ago, I played a little bit and throw away to some corner. But ppl doing serious setups with this little devices. There're many skins, sensors, etc with the app. Just watch the youtube videos there're tones of them: [u2b]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NklcmrSIVys[/u2b] [u2b]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5zR9QFkxGM[/u2b] And a small note: please buy obd2 adapter with on/off switch on it. so you don't need to unplug & plug it everytime. Thats why I throw it away. |

So its standard OBD2 + special function added for applciation to query the serial number / etc... You need to try it. Or just give a try for Torque Pro... |
