My microfiber obsession is not quite as bad as yours but I did watch your video in entirety without getting bored. I find your impressions about the MF madness towels interesting. Although I've never personally used them I can see how a towel that's been over-engineered and so expensive that it defeats its usefulness and practicality.
Anyway I recently bought a bunch of these for waterless washes: http://www.theragcompany.com/16-x-16...-1616-B-EL.htm They look pretty similar to the CarPro BOA towel in your video. They are awesome, Korean made, 70/30 split, edgeless. Check out the rest of their stuff. A lot of Korean made towels and their prices are really good and free shipping over $30 purchase. I'd also check out Microfiber Tech. They have good stuff and some Korean made too. I'm pretty sure they sell the same towel as that Detailers Domain Uber towel you like. http://www.microfibertech.com/microf...detailing.html Generally I find towels on Autogeek to be a bit overpriced. You can find some of the exact same towels elsewhere for cheaper. None of these companies actually make the towels, they just distribute. I'm pretty sure all these towels are made in a just a handful of factories in China and Korea. Oh and I have to throw in my recommendation for all purpose towels: Costco towels. That's right Costco sells 36 towels for $15. That's less than 50 cents per towel. They're ok quality (~300 GSM) but you can use them for all the dirty bits of the car and you won't feel guilty about ruining them because they're so cheap. Cons: They lint so not recommended on glass or plastics. Also have a sewn in tag unfortunately. Last edited by Aaaaaaaaa; 04-04-2015 at 11:58 PM.. |

Yea, wasn't too impressed with the MF Madness towels, especially for the price. The dry me crazy is impossible to work with if you like to fold it because it is so bulky. I actually did like the crazy pile ones for detail spray(light blue), but they are also not great to fold. They are just way too expensive fill your whole arsenal.

A quick check I use is to clean a dvd or cd with the microfiber towel and see if it causes any scratches.
I have only had one particular towel so far that does not cause any scratches. |
