Usually this is indeed a sign of pump failure. Scan for codes and if necessary start ordering parts.

You're on borrowed time, do it now, or you'll be left stranded at the worst possible time, have to pay more for parts for being unprepared, mechanic will have the upper hand as you now have a useless broken car and you'll have to fork for a tow. You know your water pump could be breaking/failing so fix it under your terms not it's own.

I know.... but it never gave me a code until 2 days a go.
